Story teller by choice - Chapter Havelock Island

As time gracefully sweeps by, our bodies may wear and change - hair thins, skin loses its luster, eyes dim slightly. Yet, the one thing that continues to expand is the adventure within me. I find myself on the serene shores of Havelock Island, reminiscing about my days filled with frantic recitation of geographic nomenclature in school, trying desperately to outshine and impress my teachers. Little did I know then that those struggles would ignite a passion for exploration beyond textbooks. From grappling with steam engines and pondering how steel vessels could conquer vast waters, I have journeyed a long way towards self-discovery. The path from being an academic seeker to embracing life as a traveler and storytelling was unexpected yet fulfilling. As I rest on this white sandy paradise of Havelock, my feet remain strong, showing no signs of tiring from this nomadic lifestyle. Heaven truly lies at my toes.Join me as I dcmnt my explrtns & share the stories of this butfl exstnce...

Story teller by choice - chapter Spy in the jungle, Kabini

Kabini - I wanted to share a recent adventure that perfectly encapsulates the connection between civilization, nature, and wildlife. Everywhere civilization flourishes just on the banks of a river or a water body, much like the flourishing life around the mighty Kabini and Bandipur. In our quest for a break from daily routines, we embarked on a journey to the stunning Nilgiris. We planned our trip meticulously and arrived at the entrance gate of Bandipur early in the morning, eager to encounter its fascinating wildlife. As we drove through the dense Jungle, we were greeted by a chorus of monkeys screaming in unison. Although we didn’t spot any tigers, we learned that their cries were warnings to other animals about the presence of a leopard or tiger nearby - a fascinating reminder of nature’s communication.  This experience was not just about observing wildlife; it served as a beautiful illustration of the coexistence of life within our ecosystems.

Story teller by choice - Chapter Shangri la - Ladakh

The mythical land of Shangri-La is the novelist James Hilton's fictional account of the legendary Tibetan paradise Shambala. In Hilton's 1933 novel, Lost Horizon, he changes the name of the paradise to Shangri-La. This lost Tibetan paradise is a valley cut off from the world.Today, I wanted to share a bit of my journey, one that has always been a dream of mine—to soar high over the majestic Himalayas and embrace its breathtaking landscapes.Inspired by the movie '3 Idiots,' my yearning to explore the enchanting Himalayas grew stronger with each passing year. Finally, that dream materialized when I had the incredible opportunity to fly above the stunning snow-capped mountains and land at the Kushok Bakola Rimpochee Airport in Leh, Ladakh. As someone who was born in Kumta, a coastal town in Karnataka known for its high humidity and sweltering temperatures, this experience was surreal. It took me a solid 24 hours to acclimatize to the sub-zero temperatures, during which I f...

Story teller by choice - Chapter Kevadia

Today, I wanted to share something deeply personal that has unfolded during my recent training in Ankaleshwar, Gujarat.  Story telling -What began as a fortunate diversion to escape the chaos of my work life has transformed into an essential part of my identity. Life can throw challenges our way from right, centre, left, but ultimately, it is up to us to determine how we respond. Over the past, as I navigated my training away from family and missed my little one, I discovered moments that sparked joy and creativity within me. One particular highlight was my visit to the Statue of Unity in Kevadia Gujarat. Standing before this magnificent monument honoring the Iron Man of India—the visionary who united our country’s princely states—was a truly transformative experience.   I found myself reflecting on the hormonal rush that followed as I stood there, gazing at the statue.  My Dopamine surged, igniting bursts of creativity.  The release of Serotonin flooded m...
